Udupi Shree Admaru Matha Education Council (USAMEC or AMEC) is a society registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960.

The visionary Savant His Holiness Shree Shree Vibudhesha Theertha Swamiji of Shree Admaru Matha established Udupi Shree Admaru Matha Education Council in the year 1962 with the view of serving the nation by providing the right kind of education to the nation’s youth. He was also the founding president of USAMEC. Udupi Shree Admaru Matha Education Council was started with the specific aim of imparting right kind of education to the future generation and infusing a spirit of patriotism in children of the nation.

The USAMEC continues to own, run, support and maintain educational institutions for imparting value-based education from Kindergarten to Post Graduation. These Institutions are spread across the country - located in Admaru, Udupi, Padubidiri, Bengaluru, Belur, Aldur, Sangameshwarapet and Bhadravathi in the State of Karnataka and in Mumbai and in New Delhi. The disciplines, apart from general schooling, include Science, Philosophy, Commerce, Management, Technology etc.

Here are some highlights:

• All the Poornaprajna Institutions governed by USAMEC have secured excellent results in public examinations.
• They also continue to do very well in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
• With a view to encourage sports activities, Inter-Poornaprajna Games Meet for High Schools and Primary Schools in different Poornaprajna Education Centers every year are being hosted on rotation basis.
• Special Workshops and Seminars are being conducted, involving teaching staff, to improve their methodology in teaching. Specifically for the purpose of training the teachers in right direction.
• Poornaprajna Institute of Faculty Improvement has been established by AMEC at Bangalore.

The precious gift of AMEC to Indian science education is, through Admaru Matha Education Foundation (AMEF), the Poornaprajna Institute of Scientific Research (PPISR) at Bangalore. The institute has proved its fruitful existence and the areas of research initiated at the Institute are recognized internationally.

Governing Body (2024 onwards)

Udupi Shree Admaru Matha Education Council has an enlightened Governing Body always headed by one of the revered Swamijis of Shree Admaru Matha, Udupi. The members of the Governing Body are eminent educationists, scientists, industrialists and administrators who have great concern for quality education of the youth of the country. The management is bent on enabling the Poornaprajna Educational Institutions to achieve excellence in teaching and learning activities.
